Billing Clerk - Part-time

The Clerical Assistant (part-time) will be working on-site for the client in Memphis, TN.


*This position will retrieve documents requested by insurance follow-up staff.
*Process and retrieve requests made by the collection staff in the Birmingham AL office.
*Process and file electronically insurance claims to all third party payers.
*Analyze and correct accounts on edit reports within the billing system.
*Print and mail paper claims where necessary.
*Bill secondary claims after primary claim has processed.
*Analyze and correct accounts on any payer rejection reports received from electronically filed claims.
*Review demographic data on patient accounts prior to claims dropping for billing for accuracy and correctness of data.
*Other projects to be assigned by supervisor.
